We are so excited to have Erin Malkowski, Tara O’Brien, Erin Paulson, and Charissa Schulze here this week getting ready for their group show, Latitude. All of the artists work together at The Historical Society of Pennsylvania as conservators and have made artworks based on one of the historical documents they work with, a 1763 mathematics manuscript describing instructions for setting up a sundial. The group arrived on Monday and has been hard at work setting up since! Check out some pictures of the install here and come see the completed show at our DownStreet Art Opening tomorrow, Thursday, July 30 from 6 to 9 pm.
This sundial-inspired exhibit looks very exciting!!! I wish I lived closer . . .
The show is up through August 23–maybe a day trip to North Adams is in your future: Latitude + MASS MoCA = Art Bliss!
