Liminality Opening report

It has started! Our second show of the 2013 DownStreet Art summer, Liminality, officially opened yesterday night! You were just under four hundred (393 to be exact) to come and see Valerie Carrigan’s work. The DownStreet Art crowd kept flowing in the gallery and people stayed until 9:20 pm. One of our team members, Jonas, worked our Vandercook press throughout the evening to print our give away card of the month and taught our guests how to do it themselves. Sawyer, Valerie’s son, and his sister and cousins taped their cards to their chest with DownStreet Art stickers and ran around trying to get people into the gallery. We would like to thank our partners MCLA and DownStreet Art, as well as Valerie for letting us show her wonderful artworks, every one who came through our doors, and of course Pam, Michaela and Jonas for getting out of their way to help us run the gallery during this busy night. Once again thank you for helping us making this opening a great success.

All the pictures from last night can be seen on our flickr.
