What a great summer! So hard to believe that a new school year is upon us–can’t wait to see what it will bring. We said goodbye to Sharbreon, who is now back in Louisiana and studying away. Andy returned to MCLA as a senior and Pam is preparing for a big installation that will be part of the next Downstreet Art opening in late September.
So that leaves me, Melanie alone for a few days to contemplate what next and look for a new group of interns and students to help make this fabulous place function! A couple of resumes have come in and its lookin’ pretty good.
I’ll be working on special projects for MCLA and our top donors on Thursdays, three students will be pursuing independent studies, and then there will be a couple of interns helping out with gallery hours, marketing and book-keeping. It’s gonna be great.
We are SUPER excited about our workshop next Saturday, September 15th with artists Suzi Banks Baum and Karen Arp-Sandel. Reserve your spot today by downloading the registration form and sending it in. For more info go here.
Please note our hours may be a bit inconsistent as we make the transition from the summer to the fall schedule.
NEW HOURS (at least for now):
Thursday-Friday 12-6 p.m.
Saturday 12-4 p.m.
Sunday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Come on by and say hello!
