“Nature as Medicine” Opening Night Recap

Despite the occasional rain shower, last night’s opening reception for Nature as Medicine, Nature as Companion was a wonderful part of this month’s DownStreet Art Thursday! Our featured artists Erika Radich and Jaeok Lee brought their families (and dogs!) to enjoy their exhibition. Overall, we had over 300 visitors come through to view, chat, snack, create, and enjoy!

Our latest monthly mantra card reflects the themes of this exhibition: “There is a spiritual power in repetition – a devotional quality – like saying rosaries” – Kiki Smith. Pick one up some time this month while Nature as Medicine, Nature as Companion is on view! And be sure to create your own “Type Case Collection” at our activity table!

A huge thanks to Gallery Manager Melanie Mowinski, interns Nicole and Jonas, and volunteer Kate, as well as MCLA, the Berkshire Cultural Resource Center, and DownStreet Art for making this event possible – and thanks again to all of our visitors! We hope to see you all again as we continue our adventures throughout the summer!
