THANK YOU!

Sarah and Julio Granda, Jon Alhen and his wife, and Barry Sternlieb pose for a photo op!

We would like thank everyone that made Thursday night a huge success. We tallied our numbers and over 500 people came through our doors! We’re still in shock!

There was plenty of fun to be had as people filled the streets of North Adams to celebrate with Downstreet Art. The night began with the ribbon cutting of the mural behind the Mohawk Theatre. If you haven’t had a chance to see it yet, please make sure you find you way over there. It is a sight to behold! The mural is one of several that will be popping up throughout the city so keep your eyes open!

Afterwards we returned to PRESS for our opening reception. We had an amazing time! The PRESS team spent the night meeting and greeting the new and familiar faces that came to pay us a visit. There was food, fun, and lots of laughter echoing throughout the gallery! The highlight of the night was definitely the operation of the Vandercook. Andy, another one of our awesome interns, manned the press the entire night, creating our commemorative postcards along with guests. Patrons of all ages gathered around to take a shot at making their own postcard, and were amazed at how easy it was to maneuver. It truly was a night to remember!

We also want to send a special thank you to MCLA and the Berkshire Cultural Resource Center. We couldn’t have done it without you.
PRESS has plenty of awesome exhibitions and events in store for the rest of the summer so stay tuned!
