Jason Peabody, the Associate Gallery Manager, and I got the show up in record time. We are featuring the work of Hartford Prints! Created and run by Adrienne Gale, Hartford Prints! was made possible by the City of Hartford Arts & Heritage Jobs Grant Program, Eddie A. Perez, Mayor. In October 2009, nine students from Hartford Public High School were given part-time jobs learning the craft of letterpress. The ephemera created by the students, e.g. art prints, greeting cards and blank books, promotes the city of Hartford and the proceeds are used to support other Hartford businesses. The program ran through August 2010.
